We're stoked to be in collaboration with Roanoke Outside and have the races on the weekend of the spectacular GO Outside Festival. Enduro on Saturday Oct 19 and XXC (XC Marathon) on Sunday Oct 20.

Last year, at Interbike, Maxxis announced a slew of new tire sizes and casings. Now (or soon in some cases) you can get a Minion DHR II or DHF in 2.3, 2.4, or 2.6 in just about any casing you can imagine.

We sent Patrick Goral to visit Roanoke last year to learn about what the town has been building. It turns out Roanoke has plenty of classic, prime, east coast riding to satisfy mountain bike visitors.

The iconic gravel ride from Botetourt to the Blue Ridge Parkway deals with a familiar challenge in snow and ice.

Roanoke is not only the cultural and economic center of the VBR universe, it's also at the center of its mountain bike scene. Mill Mountain is home to a handful of trails just above downtown, but the real centerpiece here is on Brushy Mountain, otherwise known as Carvin's Cove.

Its quite interesting the mountain bike industry, being as tech hungry as it is, does not fall susceptible to the disruption phenomenon as often. When it does happen, it happens hard. Enter the OneUp Components dropper post.

Two mountains, four runs, one rip roarin good time on Virginia's bike parks. 27 Racers showed out with 6 in the pro class, and absolute carnage ensued with multiple nasty crashes and DNFs.

A weekend packed full of races in the East Coast's only IMBA silver designated ride center. Enduro, XC, and XCM races for all ages!

Track Dedicated August 2, 2018 Roanoke got pumped on August 2, 2018 in a whole new way by means of a manufactured traveling pump track.

Ride up Price Mountain to the Seven Sisters up to Hoop Hole and back through Fincastle. Through heat and humidity we prevail, because we are free.

Came Hell or high water (the latter delivered in tidal waves), the 30th Massanutten Hoo-Ha! is in the books. An ambitious ski manager early adopts the mountain bike thing and throws a whimsically titled event on a lark, complete with equally whimsical log pull and lake jump contests.

We avoided the rain for longer than we expected at the Massanutten Hoo-Ha enduro. During stage 4 it began to pick up and before I got to the bottom of the mountain, the trails were a creek.

Carlo Dy, the master of the alley cat races held at various events around Roanoke, hosts a race for the Ride Solutions Night Riders Ball. All you need is a bike and a desire to have a great time. Impromptu, zany, and unapolagetic. The most fun on 2 wheels in the Star City.

The meeting culminates with multi Leadville 100 champion and IMBA Executive Director David Wiens announcing Roanoke as an IMBA Silver Ride Center, the only one on the East Coast. Keynote speaker, Andrew Davis toasts to Roanoke, The East Coast Mountain Biking Capital of the World.

A week before Mother's Day, its Mommas Day! Wilson Creek runs clean and cool most of the time, gurgling over a 1930’s dam pretending to be a lovely clear running trout stream flowing lazily southward out of Douthat State Park in the Alleghany Highlands of Virginia. I hate Wilson Creek.

We were the eye of the storm. 21st consecutive year of running this race. The rain threatened us all night, but we prevailed. We had about 100 racers come out and had 35 in do the XXC 40 mile course. Thank you to everyone who came out and heres to a drier 22nd year!

The downhill racer and YouTube content creator takes a 12th place finish at Snowshoe. Another great weekend in the books after taking on a rough track this past weekend I managed to finish 12 out of 69 other awesome racers.

From Gravel Dr. to the top of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Like Burning Man, or some other strange, yearly ritual, every mid January since 2015 a large group of the best riders in Virginia come together for one of the greatest gravel rides in the country.

The innagural year of Virginia's Blue Ridge Creature from Carvins Cove was a smashing success. We were even graced by the presence of the fantastic Mr. Jeremiah Bishop who still managed to take first despite starting 3 minutes late.
