What another sweet season of racing it was for me. Here's a little insight of how I felt about the racing season and a few other things that's happen throughout the summer......TIME FOR PARTY LAPS.
We avoided the rain for longer than we expected at the Massanutten Hoo-Ha enduro. During stage 4 it began to pick up and before I got to the bottom of the mountain, the trails were a creek.
Video of a ride on the Spec Mines trail off of the Blue Ridge Parkway near Montvale and Troutville. After being brutalized by rain for 3 days, we venture out into the Misty Mountains
A week before Mother's Day, its Mommas Day! Wilson Creek runs clean and cool most of the time, gurgling over a 1930’s dam pretending to be a lovely clear running trout stream flowing lazily southward out of Douthat State Park in the Alleghany Highlands of Virginia. I hate Wilson Creek.
We were the eye of the storm. 21st consecutive year of running this race. The rain threatened us all night, but we prevailed. We had about 100 racers come out and had 35 in do the XXC 40 mile course. Thank you to everyone who came out and heres to a drier 22nd year!
